CMLL Announces Regional Tag Tournament
This week CMLL announced that they would be holding a National Parejas Increibles Tournament. This unique Tag Tournament will pair luchadores born in a certain region together in new tag teams for this special Tournament. The regions in Mexico represented will be Guadalajara, Laguna, Nuevo Laredo, & of course Mexico City. Representing Guadalajara will be Atlantis & Mascara Dorada, Rush & Texano Jr., and Shocker & Sagrado. Representing Laguna will be Blue Panther & Misterioso II, Ephesto & Euforia, La Sombra & Dragon Rojo Jr., and Ultimo Guerrero & Stuka Jr. Representing Nuevo Laredo will be Hector Garza & Toscano and El Terrible & Volador Jr. Representing Mexico City will be Mr. Niebla & Maximo, Mistico & Averno (that will be interesting), Hijo del Fantasma & Mephisto, Negro Casas & La Mascara, Ray Mendoza Jr. & Brazo de Plata, Rey Bucanero & Valiente, and finally Sangre Azteca & Felino. The tournament begins on 01/22 and continues through 02/05.

– This is CMLL’s first show in American in quite some time and despite only the Main Event having actual CMLL wrestlers in it, if I was near El Paso I would def. go just to see the Main Event. I’m still holding out hope that we get to see Mistico somewhere in America this year whether it be TNA, ROH, or whoever else.
Black Warrior Jumping to AAA
A few weeks ago it was reported that former CMLL star Black Warrior was retiring from wrestling following his Hair vs. Hair loss to Yujiro back in October. Well, now Warrior is reportedly joining the AAA promotion. This will be Warrior’s first time in AAA since 1995 (where he wrestled under many different names except for Black Warrior).

Huge Hair vs. Mask Possibly In The Works
Coming off the rumor of the Santo vs. Demon Mask vs. Mask Match which was apparently all just a rumor Perro Aguayo Jr. has made some interesting comments to the media this week. He said that there was hope for a big 4-Way Hair vs. Mask Match between he, Blue Demon Jr., L.A. Park, and El Hijo del Santo possibly even in a Cage. He said he hopes to get the match done for later this year, but I guess we’ll all have to just wait and see.

This looks like it may be the way for them to write Bushi off so he can go back to Japan. Cerebro is the 7th Champion in the titles history. That title changed hands 7 times in 2009.
