A video package runs focusing on John Cena vs. The Miz and Randy Orton vs. Christian tonight.

A graphic opening hits welcoming us to WWE Over The Limit. We go live to Seattle where a huge display of pyro goes off.

R-Truth is out first to kick off the show. Booker T, Josh Mathews and Jerry Lawler are on commentary with Michael Cole off to the side in his Cole Mine. The fans boo R-Truth. He said they should be booing themselves. Truth complains when he arrived at the arena tonight he didn’t have a parking spot, meaning he had to park with the rest of the fans. He said he deserves to be treated better. “I had to walk in the rain y’all.” Truth said the hippies in Seattle may like that, but he doesn’t. He said it is a conspiracy and said his days of dancing and prancing are over. Truth talks down Rey Mysterio saying he will take his spot or any spot that he wants.

Rey Mysterio vs. R-Truth

Truth backs Mysterio to the corner, slaps his chest and Mysterio kicks back. Mysterio with a kick to Truth’s face and then holds the top rope down when Truth charges at him. Mysterio jumps to the ring apron and he connects with a tilt-a-whirl huricanrana. Mysterio tosses Truth in, but Truth trips him up when he attempts a springboard moonsault. Truth with a knee to the chest of Mysterio and then launches him into the steel ring post. Truth with a big front face suplex on Mysterio. Truth works over Mysterio’s leg a bit and then drops him over the top rope. Mysterio counters while up top connecting with a bulldog on Truth from the top rope. Mysterio with a close two count with a springboard crossbody. Mysterio lays into Truth’s chest with some big knees and follows wtih a kick to the head. Truth catches Mysterio with his big twisting elbow after Mysterio caught Truth coming off the top rope. Mysterio counters Truth’s facebuster finisher sending him into the ropes. Truth breaks free, but Mysterio kicks him away. Truth then pulls Mysterio down using the ring apron and follows with a clothesline. Truth rolls Mysterio back in the ring and executes his Lie Detector finisher to get the pinfall.

Winner: R-Truth

After the match, R-Truth grabs a bottle of water and hits Rey Mysterio with it. Truth heads to the back as Mysterio slowly recovers in the ring.

Backstage, Todd Grisham is with The Miz. Grisham brings up Miz’s suggestions on Raw that he will make John Cena say “I Quit” in a way that has never been done before. Miz said he will make everyone wait to see what he does tonight. He talks about the fans calling him a fluke champion and how he will prove everyone wrong once again. “I would never quit at anything in my entire life,” added The Miz.

They show footage of the Farmer’s Market in Seattle. Michael Cole talked about rubbing dead fish all over his feet to prepare for his match with Lawler tonight.

Footage is shown from three weeks ago on Smackdown when The Corre took out Ezekiel Jackson. We then see Smackdown from two weeks ago of The Corre once again taking out Jackson in the ring who attempted to help Kane.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Wade Barrett (c) vs. Ezekiel Jackson

Wade Barrett with a big kick and forearms to Ezekiel Jackson early on. Jackson lifts up Barrett and drops him down quickly soon after that. Jackson with a huge forearm to the back of Barrett. Barrett tries to irish whip Jackson, but Jackson hangs on and shows his power tossing Barrett over the top rope. Jackson chases down Barrett back in the ring, Barrett attempts a big boot, Jackson blocks it and clotheslines Barrett with force. Some stiff forearms and knees by Jackson. Jackson catches Barrett with a big elbow. Barrett then gets the better of Jackson and tosses him shoulder first into the corner. Barrett with a big kick to Jackson’s head on the ring apron. Barrett mounts Jackson dropping some big rights. Barrett with a low kick to Jackson. Barrett with a pump handle slam. Barrett rolls to the outside and Jackson tosses him back in. Jackson with a series of shoulder blocks and a big splash in the corner. Jackson with five big scoop slams on Barrett. Jackson has Barrett up in the torture rack position when Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater hit the ring.

Winner and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett

After the match, Jackson takes out Slater and Gabriel with scoop slams. Barrett then catches Jackson with a big right hand and a sidewalk slam. Slater and Gabriel hold up Jackson, Barrett hits a big boot and Slater/Gabriel slam him down on the back of his head. We see a replay of the finish of the match and the attack by The Corre.

Backstage, CM Punk and Mason Ryan are walking and get into The Nexus locker room. David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty are down looking beat up. Ryan freaks out demanding to know what happened. They tell them Kane and Big Show attacked them. Punk doesn’t seem to care. Ryan questions Punk over it. Punk says they need to focus on the WWE Tag Team Championships tonight. He tells Otunga and McGillicutty to walk it off.

Sin Cara vs. Chavo Guerrero

Sin Cara with a quick headlock takeover on Chavo early on. Chavo works on Sin Cara’s left arm. Sin Cara with another headlock takedown and then follows with a big tilt-a-whirl huricanrana. Sin Cara with a headstand kicking Chavo in the face. Sin Cara with a twisting dive over the top rope and takes out Chavo. Another huricanrana takedown by Sin Cara on Chavo. Chavo with a cheap shot and then big right hands in the corner. Sin Cara catches Chavo with a big moonsault. Chavo with high knees to the chin of Sin Cara in the corner. Sin Cara with a springboard hip toss. Chavo catches him with a boot to the gut and drops more right hands. Chavo starts climbing up to the top rope, but Sin Cara catches him with a kick to the head. Sin Cara dives off the top rope and takes out Chavo ringside. Sin Cara with another huricanrana. Sin Cara hypes up the crowd, hits a series of kicks and connects with his big flipping back elbow. Sin Cara catches Chavo with another kick to the head from the ring apron and connects with a crossbody. Chavo lifts Sin Cara to his shoulders, Sin Cara counters and executes a huricanrana sending Chavo face down into the mat. Sin Cara hooks the leg and gets the win.

Winner: Sin Cara

After the match, we see highlights leading to the finish.

Backstage, Todd Grisham is with Christian and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. Christian says he isn’t mad at Teddy Long or Randy Orton for what happened when he lost his title and knows tonight is opportunity. Orton said what we have here is a great feel good story, but he has beaten him once before and if he loses again…Christian cuts him off and says that won’t happen. Orton said he better be sure because there is no happy ending when he is involved.

Alberto Del Rio is on his way out. Del Rio wants to talk about destiny tonight with the folks in Seattle. He said he finds the immigration problem in this part of the country to be sick – “stinky Canadians” crossing the border to get into the United States. Del Rio assures everyone he isn’t upset that he isn’t in the WWE Championship match tonight since he knows he can make John Cena tap out whenever he wants. He says destiny can’t be stopped when Big Show and Kane come out. Kane tells Del Rio he is already angry since the rapture didn’t come yesterday. He adds that if Del Rio doesn’t exit the ring right now, his “destiny” will be that of Otunga and McGillicutty.

WWE Tag Team Championships
Big Show and Kane (c’s) vs. CM Punk and Mason Ryan

We start with Kane and Mason Ryan. The crowd chants “CM PUNK” loudly. Punk points to the crowd and goes, “You gotta wait.” A loud “BATISTA” chant breaks out as Ryan locks up with Kane. Kane with a quick uppercut on Ryan. Ryan with a big scoop slam on Kane. Punk smiles from the corner. Tag to Punk. Kane drops him with an uppercut. Tag to Big Show who kicks Punk in the corner. Big Show with a huge chest chop on Punk. Big Show then stands on Punk’s back. Big Show with another chest chop. Big Show attempts a third chest chop, Punk turns around holding his head and Big Show slaps his back instead. Tag to Ryan who levels Big Show with a clothesline and elbow drop combo. Tag to Punk who tries to pin Big Show, but Big Show powers out with force. Punk is going for choke when Big Show lifts him up, tags in Kane and Kane nails Punk with a big boot. Kane with a quick side slam on Punk. Kane with his top rope clothesline on Punk, gets him ready for a chokeslam, but Punk with a cheap shot with Ryan distracting the referee. Ryan kicks Kane out of the ring. Punk with another cheap shot with Ryan distracting the referee once more. Punk tags himself in and goes to work on Kane in the corner. Kane counters a bulldog attempt by Punk and Punk almost takes a punch from Big Show in the corner. Ryan gets the tag and executes a big running powerslam on Kane. Ryan with a modified bear hug on Kane. Kane responds with a quick suplex. Punk with the tag to prevent Kane from tagging in Big Show. Punk misses an elbow drop on Kane from the top. Hot tags to Big Show and Ryan. Big Show drops Ryan with a series of clotheslines. Big Show with a body splash on Ryan. Ryan and Punk avoid a double chokeslam, but Big Show later clotheslines both. Punk is tossed out. Big Show and Kane with a double chokeslam on Ryan and Big Show hooks the leg for the win.

After the match, we see highlights leading to the finish. Back live, Big Show and Kane give the crowd in Seattle one last salute holding up the WWE Tag Team Championships. At ringside, we see an upset CM Punk.

Booker T, Josh Mathews and Jerry Lawler plug the Capitol Punishment PPV on Sunday, June 19th. They play a video mixing in video of President Obama answering questions related to WWE (much like the NFL Coors Light commercials with past NFL coaches).

WWE Divas Championship
Brie Bella (c) w/ Nikki Bella vs. Kelly Kelly

Kelly wrenches back on Brie’s head against the ropes early on. Kelly with a crossbody on Brie. Kelly channels her inner-Rikishi and rubs her behind in the face of Brie in the corner. Nikki gets in a cheap shot when Brie distracts the referee. Brie kicks Kelly in the chest and drags her back in. Brie works on Kelly’s left arm and then slams her down when Kelly fights her way to her feet. Kelly with a Lou Thesz Press on Brie and then shoves her down. Kelly goes crazy kicking Brie and hitting a quick bulldog. The Bella’s do the switch. Nikki then drops Kelly with the facebuster and gets the win.

At ringside, Michael Cole leaves the Cole Mine to go warm up for his match with Jerry Lawler tonight.

A video package runs hyping Randy Orton vs. Christian.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. Christian

We get ring introductions for the challenger Christian and champion Randy Orton.

Mixed reaction of support for both as Orton and Christian lock up and Christian goes for a quick rollup early on. Orton with a quick shoulder block. Christian responds with one of his own and a quick dropkick. Christian dumps Orton to the outside and then connects with a dropkick through the ropes. Christian with another dropkick back in the ring. Orton with a standing dropkick. Both brawl in the corner and Christian is up top. Orton with a big superplex on Christian. Orton with big uppercuts that drop Christian each time. Orton with a kick to the face and a series of clotheslines. Christian cuts off Orton’s offense with a spinebuster. Orton and Christian exchange right hands. Christian gets the better of it connecting with an inverted DDT. Orton counters a dropkick attempt in mid air from Christian into a rollup. Christian with a rollup attempt of his own. Christian jumps out attempting a right hand. Orton counters trying to hit his DDT through the ropes. Christian counters out hitting his right hand. Christian goes up top and connects with a flying headbutt. Orton with an uppercut and backbreaker combo on Christian. Christian counters an RKO attempt. Orton with a modified boston crab. Orton has it locked in tight. Christian eventually reaches the bottom rope. Crowd noise was insanely loud during that submission spot. Christian with a fake to counter an RKO attempt from the corner (the way he took the RKO when losing the title a few weeks ago). Christian with a close rollup soon after that. Orton counters Christian’s boots to the face in the corner, turns Christian around and hits his DDT through the ropes. Orton starts stalking Christian on the mat. Christian counters an RKO attempt. Christian calls for a Spear. Orton counters a Spear attempt into a powerslam. Orton is now backing up ready for a punt to the head on Christian. Orton stops himself. Orton then decides to go for it and Christian connects with a Spear. Orton kicks out and Christian can’t believe it. Series of counters between the two. Orton with an RKO.

Winner and still WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Randy Orton

After the match, Randy Orton jumps up on the corner and holds up the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. We then see a replay of the finish. Back live, Orton is still celebrating. As he goes to leave, Orton walks over to Christian and lifts him up by his arm. Christian then pushes Orton away. The fans boo. Christian comes back and gets in his face. They shake hands.

A video package runs hyping Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole.

“Kiss My Foot” Match
Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Michael Cole

Before the match, Michael Cole is seen “limping” down the ramp. Cole requests a mic and pulls out a note. “May I have your attention please. As much as I’d like to compete tonight, unfortunately I’m medically prohibited. I’d like to ask for the understanding and compassion from Jerry Lawler – as well as each and every one of you,” says Cole. Cole says his doctor excused him due to his athlete’s foot becoming infected, adding that it would put Lawler at risk if Cole was to place his foot in his mouth. He shows the note to the referee. The referee tears it up.

The bell rings and here we go. Lawler with big right hands to Cole in the corner. Lawler starts tearing away Cole’s pants. Lawler with a big right hand and standing dropkick to Cole. Cole rolls to the outside. Cole then sends Lawler face first into the steel steps. Cole also sends Lawler into the ring barricade. Cole removes his sock and his foot is nasty. Lawler with a punch to Cole’s chest and then sends him right into the Cole Mine smashing it. Lawler tosses Cole back in the ring. Lawler goes up to the second rope, drops his stap and drops his fist. Lawler covers Cole for the win.

Winner: Jerry “The King” Lawler

After the match, Jerry Lawler goes to remove his boot when Eve Torres’ music hits. Eve executes a moonsault on Cole. Jim Ross is out next. He pulls out some of his BBQ sauce and pours it on Cole. Lawler removes his boot and Cole bails out of the ring covered in BBQ sauce. Cole refuses to kiss Lawler’s foot. Cole calls Lawler, JR and the crowd losers. He said he will never kiss Lawler’s foot. Bret Hart’s music hits and he throws Cole back in the ring. Hart applies the Sharpshooter on Cole and Lawler puts his foot in Cole’s mouth. Lawler, JR, Hart and Eve all celebrate. Hart then slaps hands with fans around the ring.

Jim Ross is joining Booker T and Josh Mathews on commentary to call the rest of the show.

WWE Championship – “I Quit” Match
John Cena (c) vs. The Miz w/ Alex Riley

We got ring introductions for the challenger The Miz and champion John Cena.

The bell rings and The Miz grabs a mic. Miz mocks Cena’s match stipulation choice tonight and points out all the things he can do to him legally tonight – including Alex Riley. Miz gives Cena the opportunity to say “I Quit” right now to avoid the embarassment. Riley jumps in the ring and is ready to go. Cena’s reply: “Hell no.” Cena levels Miz and Riley with clotheslines. Riley takes a high back body drop from Cena. Cena with a bulldog and powerbomb on Miz. Cena gets the STF applied on Miz, but Riley breaks it up. Riley with a quick suplex on Cena. Cena dumps Riley to the outside and hits Miz with two big shoulder blocks and his twisting powerbomb. Cena with Five Knuckle Shuffle on Miz. Miz comes back with an inverted DDT and neckbreaker combo. Cena with an Attitude Adjustment on Miz. Riley then cracks a briefcase over the head of Cena. Riley then repeatedly hits Cena with the briefcase on the mat. Miz and Riley with a double powerbomb on Cena from the top turnbuckle. The referee asks Cena. Cena says no. Cena is tossed outside the ring and they send him back first into the ring barricade. Cena again says no when asked. Miz exposes part of the barricade near the timekeepers area and sends Cena back first into it. Cena again says no when asked. Miz and Riley clear the announcers table and hit Cena with the small TV monitors. Cena still says no. Cena drives Riley down with force. Miz sends Cena into the steel ring steps. Miz removes the top part of the steel steps, puts Cena over it, kicks his legs out from under him and gives Cena a DDT on top of the bottom steel steps. Miz puts a mic in Cena’s face. Cena says no. Miz tells Riley to pick up the top part of the steel steps. Miz informs Cena that Riley is going to drop the steps on his ribs.

Cena tells Miz to go to hell. Riley drops the steps over Cena’s ribs. Cena still refuses to quit. Miz pulls out a kendo stick and tries to quiet the crowd. Riley is holding Cena’s arms back. Miz tells Cena he now has a weapon and will use it. Cena tells Miz he hits like a girl. Miz cracks the stick across Cena’s ribs. Cena screams out in pain and still refuses to quit. Miz goes crazy hitting Cena repeatedly with the kendo stick. The referee asks Cena. Cena says no. Miz then cracks the stick over Cena’s head. They do a close up of Cena’s chest/ribs and he has welts all over his body from the kendo stick. Miz and Riley slam Cena back first over the steel entrance ramp. Miz gives Cena a suplex over the steel. Cena still says no. Miz with a kick to Cena’s face that sends Cena to the floor. Cena still says no. Miz drapes Cena over the camera crane and demands the camera man remove his belt. The man does and hands it to Miz. Miz lets Cena know he is going to whip him. Miz tells Cena to quit. Cena mocks Miz and Miz cracks the belt over his back repeatedly. Cena tries to kick at Miz with Riley holding him down over the crane. The referee asks Cena. Cena says no. Miz drags Cena towards the ring. Cena throws a big right hand. Cena sends Riley into the steel ring post. Miz has a steel chair Riley brought up and cracks it over the back of Cena. Miz tosses Cena back in the ring and misses a shot with the chair. Referee bump when Riley and Cena take him out. Miz then drops Cena with a russian leg sweep. Miz sets up the steel chair and places it between the top and middle rope. Miz picks up Cena and gives him the Skull Crushing Finale face first into the steel chair. Miz tells Cena to quit. Cena still says no. Miz is asking the fans what they think of what is going on.

Miz asks a John Cena fan if they want him to quit. The young fan says never. Miz then hits Cena on top of the head with the mic. Miz gets back in the Cena fans face and tells him that he is doing this to Cena by not telling him to quit. Miz again hits Cena on the head with the mic. Miz then pulls Cena through the opening in the steel barrier that is exposed around the timekeepers area. Cena is stuck in the opening and Miz grabs a steel chair. Miz tells Cena that he can’t win this match and that he has been through enough. Cena mocks Miz again. Miz hits Cena with the chair. Riley yells at Cena to quit. We hear what sounds like Cena’s voice saying “I Quit.” The Miz and Alex Riley celebrate. The referee leaves the ring and grabs the WWE Championship. When he walks by the area where Cena was, he notices a small recorder or cell phone is on the ground and plays it back. The referee waves off the decision and plays the recording back from the cell phone and it is a recording of Cena saying that he quits. The refereee restarts the match. Here we go again. Riley grabs the WWE Championship, but ends up hitting Miz with it by accident. Cena then gives Riley an Attitude Adjustment through the announcers table. Miz is down. Cena is smiling removing his leather belt. Cena starts whipping Miz with the belt. Miz is running away and Cena is chasing him down whipping him repeatedly. Cena drops Miz down and locks on the STF. The referee asks Miz. Miz quits.

After the match, we see highlights from the match. Back live, John Cena is holding up the WWE Championship. We see some more highlights and back live, Cena celebrates one last time holding up the title as the PPV goes off the air.
