Thoughts

I thought this was a really solid Superstars, not great but very solid. The opening match I really enjoyed. I don’t care what anyone says I really love Santino and the character he plays. It just makes me laugh. Which leads me as to why I really enjoyed this match, wrestling wise it was meh, but it was such a fun match that I really enjoyed it. I’m really loving this feud between Santino-Kozlov and Hawkins-Ryder. I think also that having Scott Stanford backing Ryder in all of his matches yet somehow keeping unbias is not only a testament to his skill as a commentator but also to whoever is telling him to do it. Personally it just adds something a little extra to whenever Ryder is involved. Also, whoever the referee was in this match was incredibly annoying. Your a referee, you don’t need to talk that much.

The JTG-Hawkins match again was solid, nothing really flashy but a good entertaining match. I’m not a big fan of JTG to be perfectly honest, I never have, I just don’t like him in the ring or when he is talking. However I thought personally he has improved with his in-ring ability. Nothing really to say about Hawkins, I like him and he performed. What more could you want from a Superstars match? On a completely random note, I really don’t like the announcer they have. She sounds so weak and tacky, I like my announcers to have a confident loud voice. The girl they have now sounds like a chipmunk with a teeny bit of bravado.

Finally the main event. I don’t like how Estrada is managing Kidd now. I think Hayes suited his character a little bit more. I don’t know how to explain it but I just do. This I think was the worst of there three matches, nothat I am saying this wasn’t a good match, but to me it just felt like all of there other matches so I got a little bit bored during it because we’ve seen it all before. I think Barreta has improved a little bit since I started recapping which is really good. His moves seem more believable and are connecting a bit more. I also think he isn’t flying as much. I can’t remember if I mentioned this last week, but I really love Kidd’s yells during the match. Makes it seem more believable.

Finally I would like to say that adding that tribute to Superstars was a really good touch. I am a little bit young to remember Randy Savage, I have watched several matches and promos of his since his untimely death and I really regret not being old enough to of lived through his hay day.

Anyway that about wraps this weeks recap up, if you have any feedback, questions or anything else my email is amdy985@hotmail.com or your can follow me on twitter @amdy985. Thank you for reading and I’ll see you all next week!
