Tetsuya Naito to continue wrestling in CMLL
No Limit member and 1/2 of the new IWGP Tag Team Champions, Tetsuya Naito, will be wrestling in CMLL intermittently throughout 2010. CMLL announced this week that the No Limit member would wrestle off-an-on all year trading time between Mexico and Japan.
El Terrible & Texano Jr. to Japan
No Limit’s first challengers to their newly won belts will be the CMLL team of El Terrible and Texano Jr. on the 02/14 New Japan event.
Guerrero & Averno in Japan
This past Monday CMLL stars, Ultimo Guerrero & Averno, faced off against New Japan’s IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions: Apollo 55 (Ryusuke Taguchi & Prince Devitt). In what was said to be an exciting bout between the two teams Apollo 55 successfully defended their belts when Taguchi pinned Averno.

This week Dragon Gate USA announced that a new match has been signed for their 01/23 “Fearless” show in Chicago. Brian Kendrick will face off with Jimmy Jacobs in the new matchup! Also, on the card Dragon Kid gets a shot at BxB Hulk’s Open the Freedom Gate belt, Shingo & YAMATO meet the two teams of the Young Bucks and Speed Muscle (Masato Yoshino & Naruki Doi) in a Three Way Dance (Elimination), and CIMA & Super Crazy team up to face Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw in tag team action.

Big Mask Match Not Happening
A couple of weeks ago I talked about the big El Hijo del Santo-Blue Demon Jr. Mask Match that had supposedly been signed officially for later this year. Well, apparently it was either a joke (that I still don’t get) or SuperLuchas was just posted up rumor as fact. El Hijo del Santo spoke about it at an autograph signing this week and said it wasn’t true at all. So there will be NO Mask vs. Mask – El Hijo del Santo vs. Blue Demon Jr. match this year.
Perro Aguayo Jr. & El Hijo del Santo Announce Partnership
This week legendary El Hijo del Santo and Perro Aguayo Jr. announced a partnership between Perro’s PdM (Perros del Mal) promotion and Santo’s Todo X el Todos promotion. The two INDY promotions plan to combine their two rosters together and the first show would be on 01/31. No word on what the new name would be though.
