Wanted to start by including this little blurb again about Michael Morrice, a brave 13 year old from the UK, who is awaiting a kidney transplant. Michael is currently undergoing dialysis. For those of you who’ve read his story…the latest is that it won’t be the greatest Christmas, as things have been tough with him missing two compatible kidneys for transplant, owing to medical problems.

If any readers within the business (indies, WWE, TNA, puroresu, or lucha promoters or workers or even staff) or even fans… who would be willing to send a key chain or pen from the country in which they live… or just plain good wishes, please contact Michael and his mom, Sylvia, via Michael Morrice Transplant Support Facebook page.
This isn’t one of those chain deals….he’s a real kid (who happens, as it turns out, to share my birthday)…not a mysterious someone looking to get some magic number of Facebook friends. He’s just a 13 year old wrestling fan, with a mom who loves him, and who asked Petey for help. I thought I’d pass it on to all of you…

Some of you have already sent him good wishes, and many other things…if some more of you can be moved to do so, it’d be appreciated.

Since we are now in November, we now approaching the Holiday season. As I ask each year, please e-mail any announcements about scheduled Holiday charitable-themed (fund-raisers for clothes, food pantries or Toys for Toys) wrestling or MMA events to bobmagee1@hotmail.com or bobmagee856@gmail.com

Recent additions to the list include the Des Moines, IA based 3XWrestling which proudly presents its annual November supershow, November Knockout 3: Black Friday, on November 25 at the Barratta’s@Forte Grand Ballroom in downtown Des Moines. The stacked card of Midwest all-stars includes two major championship matches and two massive multi-man elimination tag team matches, a November tradition in 3XWrestling.

NWA Coastal makes its debut in the Bayville, NJ Elks Lodge on November 19th at 7:30 pm. A part of the proceeds goes to Family Promise of Southern Ocean County, a fantastic charity whose mission is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence.

The main event will pit former NWA Coastal Heavyweight Champion “Bad Boy” Danny Pagan against… Patch (with manager Millionaire John II) in a rematch with a FIRST BLOOD stipulation! NWA Coastal Iron Man Champion “The Cuban Crippler” Ricky Reyes won’t be available due to a previous commitment, but there will be an elimination match to decide the #1 contender for Reyes’ belt, as NWA star Vordell Walker will take on the Carribean legend Bronco Internacional, with the winner to face Reyes at the January show. In a rematch from the September show, Jersey indy wrestling legend Wacky Wayne Woo takes on his friend, the also legendary Biggie Biggs. Phoenix Wrestling Federation and its promoter, the unpredictable Max Vitelli, will showcase their gorgeous and lethal brand of womens wrestling, as Aida Marie takes on Simply D’Vyne. Simply D’Vyne destroyed the competition in a 3 way dance at the last show, and seems intent on showing why she should be the #1 contender for the PWF title. The popular “Hybrid” Josh Adams, a mainstay in NWA Force 1 for several years now, also makes his case to contend for the Iron Man belt held by Ricky Reyes, as he takes on the arrogant Joey Spades; as well as other matches. Tickets are $12 for general admission, and kids under 10 admission is only $10. Tickets are available at the Elks Lodge, 247 Route 9 in Bayville (732-269-2954), or via Brownpapertickets.com.
3XW’s October event, Halloween Horror 4, saw the introduction of dramatic live production changes, including an enhanced sound system, specialized lighting displays and the use of video projection equipment throughout the event. Look for even more exciting additions to the live event experience at November Knockout 3: Black Friday!

South Philadelphia will be busy this year, with three Toys for Tots events at The Arena in Philadelphia. Arena management, as they have for the last seven years, has offered to have the collections done at more events during the Holiday season than in the past. Then, just hours later, on Saturday, December 3, not only will CZW host its biggest event this year, “Cage of Death 13” at the Asylum Arena in Philadelphia, but it will be a double header with Japanese promotions K-Dojo, DDT, Freedoms, and BJW! The Indie Wrestling Summit kicking off the day at 1PM.

10:30 AM The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 West 34th Street and 8th Avenue) in Manhattan, NY – one block walk from Madison Square Garden/Penn Station; one subway stop from Times Square.

11:15 AM The Rahway Recreation Center (275 East Milton Avenue) in Rahway, NJ

The price of the trip will be $130, which includes tickets to both events, round trip transportation, a tip for driver, a special exclusive event in between shows and more to be announced. The cost increase is due to the amount of hours needed for the bus due to the early bell time of the first event and its pre-show meet and greet.

For more details, email WrestlingBusTrip@gmail.com.
For attending the events organized this year, we ask that you please bring an unwrapped toy to the Asylum Arena; and donate it to the Toys or Tots program, who will have collection bins at the entrance of the Arena. The mission and goal of the Toys for Tots program is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. Though a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope is delivered to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

Until next time…
