Best of Super Juniors in Japan
The world of Lucha Libre invaded Japan this week as New Japan opened up the 2012 Best of Super Juniors Tournament with CMLL’s Angel de Oro and former CMLL & AAA star Alex Koslov really looking strong. Koslov went undefeated all week until he fell to Taguchi on 06/01 while Angel de Oro remains undefeated and is #1 in Block A at the moment earning wins over the legendary Jushin Thunder Liger & Dragon Gate’s PAC along the way. Dragon Gate’s PAC and former CMLL & AAA star Rocky Romero also made nice splashes in the tournament. One thing to note in the Tournament is that the new Black Tiger was removed from the Tournament and replaced by New Japan youngster Hiromu Takahashi after NOSAWA (who was playing the role of Black Tiger) was arrested after returning from a Lucha event in Mexico last week. NOSAWA was arrested attempting to smuggle Marijuana into Japan via some paintings (which he claims were given to him by fans in Mexico). Angel de Oro is by far the leader in Block A with 8 points while Prince Devitt, KUSHIDA, Testuya Bushi, & PAC are tied for #2 with 4 points. In Block B Low-Ki & Alex Koslov are tied for #1 with 6 points while Tiger Mask, Ryusuke Taguchi, Daisuke Sasaki, & Brian Kendrick are tied at #2 with 4 points.

Nicho IS Psicosis
Originally when Nicho el Millonario returned to his Psicosis gimmick AAA and he explained it as him returning to the mask after he was burned by a fireball from his former partner Joe Lider, but now through vignettes on AAA’s tv show they have further advanced the story. The angle they are going with is that not only was Psicosis’ face “badly” burned but the incident caused Psicosis to go crazy and believe that he is Psicosis again rather than Nicho.

Konnan & Chavo Classic Have Ridiculous Twitter Fight
In one of the more ridiculous stories this week Chavo Guerrero Sr. randomly (probably drunk too) called Konnan out on Twitter, asking him admit to everyone to abusing steroids. Konnan responded and the beef just got worse with alot of name calling and threats. Everyone says that both Twitter accounts are official but I have no idea how to confirm that. Regardless Chavo Classic continues to embarrass himself in public.

– This is the same building AAA ran in 20 years ago for it’s very first show, Auditorio Benito Juarez de Veracruz. I believe L.A.
