TripleMania Not On PPV…or TV? Kurt Angle Signed for TripleMania
AAA announced this past weekend that TripleMania will not be on PPV this year, and now rumors are going around that it won’t air on TV either. Not until the end of the year, at least, in an attempt to drive higher ticket sales (make it a much watch live) like CMLL did with the Anniversary Show last year. In better news AAA finally confirmed that Kurt Angle has been officially added to TripleMania. He will team with Jeff Jarrett in the Seconds Hair vs. Hair Match against L.A. Park & Electroshock (I think everybody on the planet would rather just see Angle vs. Park one-on-one). Kurt Angle cut a funny promo to jumpstart the match and he even takes shots at L.A. Park (suggesting that he’s the reason that WCW went out of business).

TNA Signs Chavo Guerrero Jr.
This week TNA President Dixie Carter announced that TNA had signed former WCW & WWE star and member of the famous Guerrero family, Chavo Guerrero Jr., to a contract with TNA. Chavo’s uncle Hector Guerrero has been with TNA since 2007 as a member of TNA’s Spanish Announce Team (as well as briefly managing L.A.X.). Chavo was a long time wrestler for WCW winning the Cruiserweight & Tag Team Championships, but earned the most of his success with the WWE where he and his uncle Eddie Guerrero became one of the top tag teams in the world and Tag Team Champions. He was also a longtime Cruiserweight Champion and even won the ECW Championship before being released in 2011. Earlier this year Chavo took part in TNA’s Indian promotion Ring ka King where he and Bulldog Hart (Harry Smith aka DH Smith) won the RKK Tag Team Championships together. Chavo makes his in-ring debut on this week’s upcoming Impact Wrestling.
2012 King of Trios
This week CHIKARA added yet another 2 teams to this year’s King of Trios lineup in September. 1 trio will combine two of the most powerful tag teams in the history of WCW: The Faces of Fear (Meng & Barbarian) and The Powers of Pain (Barbarian & The Warlord) combining to become The Faces of Pain. They will EASILY be the most powerful team in the Tournament. The other trio features 3 stars from the Japanese Osaka Pro promotion. 11 of the 16 teams have been filled for this year’s tournament.
