Volador Jr. in Japan
This past weekend CMLL’s Volador Jr. got his rematch with Prince Devitt for the NWA Middleweight Title on the 07/29 event for New Japan, but Devitt was able to retain his title in what was said to have been a very good matchup. The match actually Main Evented the card which was the 40th Anniversary of the famed New Japan promotion which is a really cool thing for Volador and surprising. On the same card CMLL’s Rush teamed up with former WWE stars MVP & Shelton Benjamin along with another American Karl Anderson in defeating Minoru Suzuki, former TNA star Lance Archer, Taka Michinoku, & Taichi in a big 8-Man Tag Match. TripleMania Parade
This week AAA held a parade in Ciudad to celebrate “TripleMania’s” 20th anniversary and to promote “TripleMania XX.” It looked like most, if not all, of the AAA roster was on hand (including a lot of guys who haven’t been around for quite some time like Gronda II, Crazy Boy, and others). AAA’s Animated Film Coming to America
This week AAA released the trailer for their animated film (which came out in Mexico last year) “AAA La Pelicula: Sin Limite en el Tiempo.” Masked Republic is handling the distribution for the film outside of Mexico and it’s release in America will feature English language in it and the new title will be “AAA: Battle For Time.” Characters that can be seen in the film include La Parka, Abismo Negro, Charly Manson, Chessman, Mascarita Dorada, Octagon, Faby Apache, Gronda, El Zorro, Kenzo Suzuki, and more. No word on a release date yet. The trailer for the English version of the film is below:

Johnny Gargano Re-Signs with DG-USA
After Johnny Gargano revealed that he had re-signed with Dragon Gate USA following the 07/28 DG-USA event, Dragon Gate USA issued a Press Release announcing that Gargano had signed a 2-year contract extension with both Dragon Gate USA and EVOLVE Wrestling.
