Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s WWE Superstars recap.

If you all are ready, then since Adelitas Way is playing the intro, let’s get on with the show!

The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) vs. Michael McGillicutty & Johnny Curtis

Curtis & Jey start things off. Lock-up and a break. Jey with a side headlock, but Curtis breaks free. Jey with a shoulder tackle and then does an “Uso” chant. Jey with an arm wrench and tags in Jimmy, who hits a top rope double sledge. Jimmy with an arm wrench and tags in Jey, who like his brother hits a top rope double sledge across the arm of Curtis. Tag into Jimmy as the Usos with a double Irish whip, double back elbow and finally a double elbow drop. McGillicutty comes in, but he is met with a double chop by the Usos for his troubles. Jimmy with an armdrag to Curtis into an armbar. Tag into Jey, who hits a gut shot to Curtis. Curtis comes back with a right hand, then rakes Jey’s eyes and hits a headlock elbow drop for a nearfall.

Tag into McGillicutty as Curtis sends Jey into his corner. McGillicutty unloads with stomps in the corner on Jey before being pulled back by the referee. While that is going down, Curtis chokes Jey in the corner. McGillicutty sends Jey into his corner, then tags in Curtis as they both whip Jey back first into the corner, followed by dueling double sledges across his back. Curtis gets a 1 count, then chokes Jey with his boot. Curtis with a stomp, followed by a slam. Curtis goes to the middle rope, but misses a knee drop off the ropes as Jey moved out of the way.

Tag into Jimmy, who hits Curtis with a pair of clotheslines, followed by a flying forearm for a nearfall. Jimmy with a headbutt sidestepping a Curtis back drop attempt, then knocks McGillicutty off the apron. However, Curtis then clotheslines Jimmy from behind, sending him out to the outside. McGillicutty with a running boot to Jimmy while Curtis taunts the crowd as we go to commercial.

Commercial

Back from commercial as McGillicutty has Jimmy in a chinlock, while pulling at the face. McGillicutty sends Jimmy to the outside for Curtis to go after him, but Jimmy nails Curtis with a right hand. Jimmy heads back into the ring, but is met coming in by a dropkick from McGillicutty. McGillicutty trash talks the crowd, then trash talks Jimmy. Tag into Curtis, who hits an inverted atomic drop, followed by a McGillicutty right hand for a nearfall. Curtis chokes Jimmy in the ropes, then McGillicutty with a boot to the head. Curtis with a short-arm clothesline, then tags in McGillicutty, who hits a series of elbows to the chest of Jimmy. McGillicutty locks in a chinlock while talking trash as Jey wills on his brother. Jimmy breaks free with a jawbreaker, then crawls over to try and make the tag, but Curtis comes in, only to be met by a headbutt. Jey with a right hand to McGillicutty, but did not get the tag. Jey has words with the referee, allowing Curtis to come in and soccer kick Jimmy in the ribs. McGillicutty gains another nearfall, then tags in Curtis, who hits a stomp to Jimmy. Jimmy is then able to fight his way out of the corner and send Curtis over the ropes and to the outside. Jimmy crawls over to his corner as his brother wills him on.

Jey with a pair of clotheslines, followed by a savate kick to the gut of McGillicutty. Jey with a right hand, followed by the twisting forearm. Jey charges and connects with the Samoan Bulldozer Butt Smash to McGillicutty in the corner, followed by a snap slam on Curtis. Jey with the “Uso” chant as he hits the Alley-Uso Samoan Drop on McGillicutty.

Tag into Jimmy, who heads up top, hitting the Samoan Splash on McGillicutty for the victory.

Winners: The Usos by pinfall (Samoan Splash)

Commercial

Drew McIntyre vs. Alex Riley

Riley gets the crowd into it and goes after McIntyre, who is clutching his wrist from a previous injury at a horse riding event in Scotland. The announcers mention that while McIntyre has a fractured wrist, he is cleared to compete. Riley with a side headlock as McIntyre backs himself to the corner, clutching his wrist again. The referee again checks him, but it was all a ruse as McIntyre drills Riley with a boot to the head.

McIntyre with a leaping stomp to the head, then chokes Riley in the ropes. McIntyre sends Riley into the corner and unloads with stomps. McIntyre with a snap suplex for a 1 count. McIntyre locks in a head and arm facelock as the crowd wills on Riley. McIntyre drives Riley back down to the mat and goes right back to the hold. Riley tries to break free, but McIntyre with a club. Riley with a Sunset flip for a nearfall, but McIntyre comes right back with a clothesline for a nearfall. McIntyre paintbrushes Riley, then stomps Riley’s arm. Riley whips McIntyre down, then catches him with a back elbow on a charge in.

Riley with a pair of clotheslines, followed by a spinebuster. Riley is all fired up, but has his whip reversed by McIntyre. McIntyre with more stomps in the corner, followed by a series of right hands. McIntyre then runs into a boot by Riley, then Riley heads up top and hits the A-Bomb (Top Rope Clothesline) for a close nearfall. McIntyre backs himself into the ropes, only to catch Riley off-guard with another clothesline. McIntyre with a slam, but misses a 2nd rope leg drop.

Riley then with the Final Score (Suplex into a swinging neckbreaker) for the victory.

Winner: Alex Riley by pinfall (Final Score)

Commercial

Back from commercial, we see video highlighting the Triple H-Brock Lesnar feud heading into Summerslam.

We then see video from last week’s Smackdown, where Alberto Del Rio cost himself his Summerslam title shot against Sheamus before our main event.

Main Event: “The Cape Town Werewolf” Justin Gabriel vs. “The Intellectual Savior of the Masses” Damien Sandow

Sandow gets himself in the ropes to back away from Gabriel. Sandow with a side headlock, but Gabriel with a hammerlock. Sandow tries to get out, but Gabriel holds on, gaining a 1 count. Sandow gets to the ropes and yells “Get your filthy hands off of me”. Sandow with a side headlock takedown, but Gabriel with a headscissors to counter. Sandow kips out, but Gabriel with an armdrag into an armbar. Gabriel goes back to the hammerlock, but Sandow with a back elbow to break free. However, Gabriel comes back with a pair of dropkicks, a front slam, then heads up top, but Sandow rolls out to the outside. Sandow grabs at Gabriel’s foot, but Gabriel kicks him off. Gabriel then with a senton off the apron onto Sandow. Both men are down on the outside as we go to commercial.

Commercial

Back from commercial as Gabriel has Sandow in a hammerlock back in the ring. Gabriel with knees to the arm, but Sandow with a forearm, followed by sending Gabriel onto the apron. Gabriel slides under Sandow’s legs and then hits a back body drop. Gabriel with a forearm, followed by an STO. Gabriel heads up top, but again Sandow rolls out to the outside. Gabriel goes for a baseball slide, but Sandow ducks underneath it. Sandow then whips Gabriel ribs first into the apron.

Sandow does it a 2nd time before sending Gabriel back into the ring to gain a nearfall. Sandow with a series of kneedrops to the chest of Gabriel, followed by a leaping knee drop with his kneepad pulled down for a nearfall. Sandow then locks in a unique submission hold, almost in a way the beginnings of Randy Orton’s back to back backbreaker. Crowd wills on Gabriel as he tries to break free, but Sandow with a gut shot. Gabriel with a jackknife pin for a nearfall. Sandow with another gut shot, followed by a series of shoulders to Gabriel’s ribs in the corner. Sandow stomps away at Gabriel, followed by a Russian Leg Sweep. Sandow then with the Elbow of Disdain for a close nearfall. Sandow is frustrated as he misses a charge in the corner.

Gabriel with a chop, followed by a series of kicks to Sandow. Sandow reverses an Irish whip, but Gabriel tiger flips over his back and hits a spinning kick to Sandow. Gabriel is all fired up as he does a wolf howl. Gabriel with the angled avalanche in the corner, followed by a springboard crossbody for a nearfall. Gabriel with an O’Connor Roll for another nearfall. Sandow comes back with a shoulder to the gut, but Gabriel counters a slam with a headlock elbow drop. Gabriel with a springboard moonsault for a close nearfall. Gabriel can’t believe it as he hits a running boot to the chest. Gabriel heads up top, but Sandow crotches him on the top rope. Sandow hits his series of knees to the gut.

Sandow then hits the strait-jacket neckbreaker for the victory.

Winner: “The Intellectual Savior of the Masses” Damien Sandow by pinfall (Strait-Jacket Neckbreaker)

Sandow does his celebratory cartwheel as we go to credits.
