Tama Tonga Coming to CMLL
This week CMLL announced that the adopted son of King Haku (aka Meng), Tama Tonga, would be coming into Mexico for a tour with CMLL starting 10/12. Tonga was trained by his father and TNA’s Team 3D at the 3D Wrestling Academy. Tonga has been with New Japan Pro Wrestling for over a year and his brother (biological son of Haku) wrestles as Camacho in the WWE (and was a Defensive End for the University of Texas-El Paso). Despite being the son of a powerhouse and being primarily trained by a team like 3D Tonga wrestles more of a fast paced high flying style and has drawn more comparisons to Jimmy Snuka than to his father.

Dragon Gate USA Finally Announces Next Events
After nearly 7 months with no shows DG-USA has finally announced the dates for their next events. DG-USA will hold a big triple-shot weekend in November with shows in Evertt, MA (11/02), Voorhees, NJ (11/03), and Deer Park, NY (11/04). Tickets will go on sale at DG-USA’s website (www.DGUSA.tv) on Monday. All three events will be iPPVs broadcasted on www.WWNLive.com and Johnny Gargano, CIMA, AR Fox, Akira Tozawa, Ryo Saito, & Genki Horiguchi have all be confirmed for all 3 events so far.

“Tales of Masked Men” Premieres This Weekend
This weekend PBS Lucha Libre documentary “Tales of Masked Men” will be premiering on PBS’s various stations. PBS has held several private and public screenings of the documentary over the last several weeks in California, but the nationwide premiere will be this weekend. The official date for PBS is September 28th at 10 PM (eastern) but everyone will have to check their local listings because here it doesn’t premiere until 2 AM on Saturday morning so I’m sure it’s different across the country. Appearances from El Hijo del Santo, Dr. Wagner Jr., Solar I, Solar Jr., Mascarita Sagrada, Dos Caras Sr., and other CMLL will be made in the documentary. The DVD of the documentary will be released on October 31st but you can already pre-order it at the link below:
