In a great plug for indy wrestling in general and Philly indies in particular… Philadelphia City Paper, one of the two major free weekly papers in Philadelphia ran a cover story on Philly Indy wrestling called “Invasion of the Body Slammers… How South Philadelphia became the center of the alt-wrestling universe”. It features CZW, ROH. CHIKARA and Dragon Gate, along with plug for each of their shows coming up in November as well as CZW’s Cage of Death this December.

It’s a fairly sizable article and explains to someone who hasn’t gone to indies what each promotion style is…and takes a none too subtle rip at the Tuesday night WWECW show, suggesting the indies are truer to the tradition of the promotion that the building is named after. The article is at this link. It’s worth a read.
