Mike’s Thoughts

This was another fun edition of Superstars. The matches were fun. They don?t mean anything to any storylines but it’s all fun showcase matches.

I really enjoyed the Hart Dynasty vs. Cryme Tyme and Eve match. I?ve enjoyed all their encounters and their feud would be great over some tag team titles. Unfortunately that’s not happening because MVP and Mark Henry are more deserving at the moment. How great would a three way tag match between Cryme Tyme, The Hart Dynasty, and JeriShow be? I know I?m not imagining things there. Everyone was great here and hit their spots. Even Eve was great. Eve showed great improvement in this one. She’s the best rookie Diva they have now. She’s performing better than Gail Kim, that’s for sure.

I really enjoyed the Evan Bourne vs. Chris Masters match. Evan Bourne is always fun to watch but the one who impressed me tonight was Chris Masters. This was his best match, in my opinion, since returning to WWE. He looked great and he’s ready to get back into some kind of important role on Raw.

I wasn?t a fan of the William Regal and Tyler Reks match tonight. It was nothing on William Regal, though; it was all Tyler Reks. Some of it is his fault and some of it isn?t. What isn?t his fault is the crap gimmick he’s stuck with. He’s a surfer ?dude? but he’s pale. Not hitting any waves lately? No tan? Minor stuff. The stuff that really irks me is his moveset. Nothing bothers me more when big guys are jumping over the top rope to get in the ring and they?re springboarding off the ropes doing moves small guys should be doing. Reks has promise but he needs to be repackaged and booked with different moves. He’s a nightmare at the moment.
