* NOTES *
– In the third fall Garza missed a dive and Guerrero got the win via countout. Garza was actually stretchered out and at first I thought it was just kayfabe until I saw the video and Garza was legit injured. His knee caught the top rope as he dove over it which caused him to land straight on his head as a result (though Guerrero attempted to get underneath him, just wasn’t able to get there in time). There is no word on how serious the injury he is but I’ll have more on it next week hopefully.
Here is the video for those that want to see it:

X-Pac Speaks Out About Juventud Guerrera Incident
I forgot to talk about this last week but X-Pac made a blog on his official myspace (myspace.com/bookingseanwaltman) where he actually admitted (openly) about being the one that left the ‘present’ for Juventud in his bag (he crapped in his bag). He said that it was pretty much payback for Juventud going on the radio and telling them something very personal that Juventud had promised to keep to himself which would be when Juventud when on the radio and claimed that Pac had attempted suicide.

7) AAA Mega Heavyweight Steel Cage Triple Threat: Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) vs. Cibernetico vs. El Mesias
* NOTES *
– Just remember that this is a VERY early lineup and will most likely change. I would imagine that the TLC Match is going to be for the Tag Titles for one, plus there is no X-Pac or El Zorro on this card.
– Also, something of note the team of Electroshock, Silver King, & Ultimo Gladiador is billed as “La Wagnermania” so I what I’m guessing is that between now and August 21st Wagner is actually going to start his own group, which is cool but throwing Ultimo Gladiador is random as hell since he’s still with Crazy Boy unless Crazy & Extreme Tiger are going to start teaming again and just throw Gladiador to the side. The card is stacked regardless. 2 title matches (prolly 3 in the end), a TLC Match, Chessman and Charly one-on-one, and 2 Cage Matches one of which being a Double Mask vs. Hair Match!

I’ve decided to not just report on DGUSA happenings but also Dragon Gate in general as well. Also, on 8/16 Masto Yoshino, BxB Hulk, & PAC will defend the Open The Triangle Gate Titles against the team of Masaaki Mochizuki, Don Fujii, & Akebono.
Double Main Event Announced for 2nd DGUSA Show, Title Tournament Info
Coming off of the heels of DGUSA’s highly successful debut show this past weekend Gabe Sapolsky and Dragon Gate USA revealed the 1st two matches to be signed for the 09/06 “Open The Untouchable Gate” in Chicago and they’re two big Japan vs. USA matchups. In the 1st bout Open The Champion Naruki Doi will defend his belt against former Ring of Honor World Champion Bryan Danielson! In the 2nd bout Shingo Takagi will face one half of the ROH Tag Team Champions Davey Richards of the American Wolves! Also, scheduled to appear in Chicago are CIMA, the Open The Twin Gate Champions Genki Horiguchi & Ryo Saito, YAMATO, Masato Yoshino, The Young Bucks, Mike Quackenbush, & Jigsaw! Also, DGUSA revealed that the Open The Freedom Gate Tournament would not be a traditional 16 or 8-man Tournament with all one-on-one matches but did not reveal any other further details. Also, Dragon Gate has announced that on 8/31 they will be holding a one-night tournament to crown a new Open The Brave Gate Champion (as Naruki Doi vacated the belt after winning it) and Doi has stated that he wants all the competitors to be young stars going after the belt.

* NOTES *
– INDY & ROH wrestler, Daizee Haze, was one of BxB Hulk’s dancers during his entrance. The Hulk vs. YAMATO Match was said to have been an exciting opener that got the fans really going.
– Scorpio busted Kenny open in their match.
– The CHIKARA Showcase was said to have been great and Jigsaw earned a spot on the next DGUSA show by earning the pin in the match, but the real story came after the match. After all the wrestlers went to the back Mike Quackenbush presented a special tribute to “Skayde” Jorge Rivera (who has trained many of CHIKARA and Dragon Gate’s biggest stars including Quack and CIMA) which brought out YAMATO. YAMATO said that he didn?t respect Quack, CHIKARA, or Skayde and then jumped Quack. Jigsaw ran out to make the save but was thwarted when CHIKARA rudo, Gran Akuma, ran out and helped YAMATO beat down on Quack & Jig. Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, & Lince Dorado then came out to make the save as YAMATO & Akuma shook hands on the outside.
– The final 3 matches were said to have been stellar as well and Dragon Gate announced that at the November show in Philly a one-night tournament would be held to crown the very first Open The Freedom Gate Champion!

L.A. Park Match with Sandman Official, Great Pic
This week L.A. Park once again graced the cover of Super Luchas Magazine with one of the coolest pictures I’ve seen from the magazine. The picture is supposedly from 2004 and in it L.A. Park (the original La Parka of course) is seated with his head down unmasked but his hair covering his face and all 4 of his Championships at that time (X-LAW Heavyweight Title, WWC Hardcore Title, IWC Heavyweight Title, & WWA Tag Title) placed around him (courtesy of Super Luchas):
Also, the match between L.A. Park and Sandman for the X-LAW Heavyweight Title on August 8th has been made official and both the poster and lineup for the event has been released. The lineup will be below but here is the poster:
Juvi Talks About New Promotion More, Rap Album
Juventud did an interview this week where talked more about his new promotion Super X GPCW and it’s debut show. He says the first ‘official’ show won’t be until September (so I have no idea what that show being promoted by Super X is) and said that he was actually running the promotion not only with his father but also his brother, Fuerza Guerrera Jr. (who I had no idea even existed, not sure if he’s a wrestler or not). He says that he will be bring in Kid Kash and Rikishi for the debut show and he’s in negotiations with different TV stations to broadcast the shows. Juvi then said that his first debut rap album would be coming out this fall. I had no idea he was attempting a career in hip hop but if it’s anywhere near as ‘good’ as Konnan’s stuff I would rather not hear it at all (and I’m a huge rap fan, actually that’s all I listen to, so it’s not the fact that it’s rap trust me).
Super Crazy Seeing Success in Japan
This past weekend saw the beginning of All Japan’s Junior League Tournament and lucha star Super Crazy’s first matches. His first match as part of Block A was on 7/26 where he defeated NOSAWA in an 8:37 back-and-forth match with a Moonsault. On 7/28 Super Crazy defeated Toshizo by DQ putting Super Crazy atop Block A with 4 points.

7) Mascara Sagrada, Jon Anderson, & Blue Demon Jr. def. The Border Patrol (Zack Reeb, Derek Sanders, & Oliver John)
* NOTES *
– Wow, this card was completely shuffled around apparently because of an Apollo no show (seriously, I don’t talk down on guys usually too much but I have heard too many times about this guy no showing events, stop booking him.). Originally Blue Demon was to defend the NWA belt against Apollo, John defending the PWR belt against Sagrada, and a 6 man match between Border Patrol & Vaquero Fantasma against Latin Explosion & Hijo de Rey Misterio but they completely switched it around and I’m hearing the fans appreciated the effort put forth from the talent involved.
