The Superstars video plays and we?re brought into the arena to the sounds of Cryme Tyme’s music. Cryme Tyme is making their way to the ring with Eve, who has been featured in their Word Up videos as of late. Jim Ross and Todd Grisham welcome us to the show. This will be Smackdown’s contribution to the show. Cryme Tyme will be facing the Hart Dynasty.

Cryme Tyme vs. The Hart Dynasty

This will be a rubber match, I suppose. Cryme Tyme beat them two weeks ago on Smackdown and the Hart Dynasty evened it out last week.

My favorite referee Charles Robinson will be refereeing this match. It?ll be Shad and David Hart Smith starting it out. They circle first before locking up. Shad powers him to the corner and Smith doesn?t give a clean break as he hits a punch. Shad and Smith angrily exchange a few punches before Smith lays in a knee to the midsection. Smith wrenches the arm and sends big Shad into the corner but he explodes out with a clothesline. Smith pops up and runs into a back elbow. Smith drives his head into Shad’s midsection and goes for a short-arm clothesline, which Shad ducks. Shad attempts Thugnificent but Smith counters with a back elbow. Smith sends him into the ropes but Shad holds on and hits a nice side kick to the jaw. Shad sends Smith into the ropes where Tyson Kidd makes a blind tag. Shad takes Smith out with a forearm smash and catches Kidd with a gorilla press slam. Shad clotheslines Kidd over the top rope and this will be a good time to take a commercial break.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Shad in control of Kidd with a neck wrench into a big knee to the face. Shad attempts a running powerslam but Kidd slides off and hits a nasty looking chop block to the knee. Kidd makes the tag to Smith, who immediately works on that injured knee with some stretches and a kick. Smith locks on an inverted leg lock with a beautiful neck bridge. That was extremely impressive. Smith hits some crossfaces before tagging in Kidd. Kidd and Smith do a nice double team wishbone split. Kidd wraps Shad’s leg around the second rope and dropkicks it. While he’s being admonished by Robinson, Smith kicks him.

Kidd drops an elbow on the leg before hitting Mr. Perfect’s ?Perfect? on the leg. Kidd keeps a leg bar locked on and makes the tag to Smith, who stomps his head. Smith hits a thump to the back before hooking both legs in a submission. This is some very nice offense from Smith. Smith hits a crossface and goes for a Figure Four but Shad gets an inside cradle for a two count. Smith elbows him in the back of the neck, putting Shad in his corner, and he tags in Kidd. Kidd stomps the knee and talks some trash. Kidd locks on a Spinning Toe Hold, Terry Funk’s finisher. Shad counters out by kicking Kidd out of the ring. Shad makes the tag to JTG.

JTG immediately comes off the apron and takes Kidd down with a diving shoulder block. JTG puts him in the ring, ducks a clothesline, and hits a nice flipping shoulder block. JTG hits a dropkick before pumping the crowd up. JTG hits that spinning headlock takedown move, which Todd Grisham I believe calls a Shout Out, and pins, but it’s broken up at one by Smith. Shad runs in and takes him out and Eve cuts Natalya off by pulling her off the apron before she interferes. In the ring Kidd hits a knee to the midsection and goes for a whip but JTG twists out of it and hits a nice double arm neckbreaker for the win! This was a really good match!

Winners by Pinfall: Cryme Tyme
Match Rating: ** ?

Cryme Tyme and Eve celebrate in the ring as the Hart Dynasty goes up the ramp angrily. Still to come tonight is Kofi Kingston vs. Big Show in a non-title match.

Backstage we see Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio making his way to the ring.

-Commercial Break-

Did you know John Cena has granted over 125 wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, more than any superstar in WWE history? That’s really nice of him and congratulations on getting married.

Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio’s music hits and the crowd explodes big time. Mysterio gets in the ring after greeting some fans and talks a little Spanish. Mysterio says last week on Smackdown he beat Chris Jericho and successfully retained his Intercontinental Title. Mysterio thanks the crowd in Spanish and talks a little more, none of which I understand so I apologize. Mysterio says while beating Jericho felt great his celebration was cut short.

We now see footage of Edge attempting to hit Mysterio after the match but escaping the ring. Dolph Ziggler then runs down and throws Mysterio back in the ring, where he is laid out by Edge and Jericho. Ziggler then hits his finisher. Mysterio says instead of stepping up and challenging him to his face like a man, he had to come at him from behind and jump him like a coward.

Dolph Ziggler’s music hits and he comes out to the stage with a microphone in hand. Ziggler attempts to speak but the crowd is really booing him. Ziggler introduces himself first and says after what he did to Rey Mysterio last week, it’s a name Mysterio and all of us will never forget. Mysterio says if Ziggler wants to come out and make an impact and a name for himself, then Mysterio will give him the 411. It’s not going to be at his expense. Mysterio asks if Ziggler thinks he’s the first one on the block to dye his hair blonde, do a few sit-ups, and walk around like a peacock. Mysterio says he’s been a performer, entertainer, and competitor all his life. Mysterio says he’s beaten better than him.

Ziggler interrupts and asks if Mysterio seriously thinks he can beat him. Mysterio tells him to step into the ring and find out. Mysterio holds the ropes open and Ziggler says when and if he fights him, it?ll be on his terms. Ziggler says if Mysterio really thinks he stands a chance with him then he should put his money where his mouth is. Ziggler tells him to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line at Night of Champions. Mysterio thinks about it and says he agrees with the fans ? he sucks. Mysterio says if it means getting his hands on Ziggler one on one and showing the WWE Universe that he’s not on his level, then Ziggler has himself a title match. Ziggler goes to walk away and Mysterio stops him. Mysterio says since he’s so fond of introductions then he?d be happy to introduce him to the 619.

Mysterio tells Ziggler to come to the ring and Ziggler begins his approach. Ziggler walks up the stairs and pauses before walking down. Mysterio quickly cuts him off on the outside and chases him around the ring. Mysterio cuts him off in the ring with a forearm smash. Mysterio pushes him in the ropes and Ziggler hits a quick kick before jumping over the top rope and running from the ring with his tail between his legs. I really liked this segment.

-Commercial Break-

A commercial for Smackdown advertises tomorrow night’s main event as Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio taking on Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler. That should be a great match.

Josh Mathews and Matt Striker welcome us back to the show and we will now have ECW’s contribution to the show. Katie Lea Burchill makes her way to the ring without Paul Burchill. We see a recap of her match against Nikki Bella from last week, where the Bella Twins made a switch and pinned her. She?ll be taking on Brie Bella, who actually pinned Burchill last week.

Katie Lea Burchill vs. Brie Bella

That new referee Justin King is refereeing this one. They take a few moments before approaching and Bella hits a schoolgirl for a one count. Bella approaches Burchill and gets a kick. Burchill hits a forearm and sends her into the ropes but lowers her head and eats a kick to the face. Bella hits her flying snapmare, putting Burchill in the corner. Burchill avoids a kick but can?t avoid a standing monkey flip. Bella hits some forearms and has a whip reversed on her. Bella attempts a sloppy cross-body block and it’s sloppily blocked by Burchill. This leads to a backbreaker for a one count for Burchill.

Burchill hits some kicks and pulls the hair, bouncing her head off the turnbuckle. Burchill hits a snapmare into a low dropkick to the back for a one count. Burchill locks on an arm bar and Bella eventually punches out. Bella and Burchill trade punches until Burchill pushes her into the ropes. Bella hits a weak looking clothesline and a really bad pair of dropkicks. Burchill then hits a kick to the outside of the ring. Nikki Bella plays dead next to her sister so no one knows who is actually the one that was wrestling (my guess would be the sweaty one). They both get in the ring and he kicks out the sweaty one like an idiot. Nikki Bella blocks a kick and rolls Burchill up to get the win for her sister.

Winner by Pinfall: Brie Bella
Match Rating: ? *

Still to come is Kofi Kingston versus the Big Show.

-Commercial Break-

A really great video airs for R-Truth, building him up. I really hope that Pretty Ricky thing is dead because that was really stupid.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler invade our TVs now and give us the Raw Rebound. Just to change things up I?d like to see an ECW Rebound here once in a while. These are all wastes of time.

Kofi Kingston makes his way to the ring and he?ll be in action against Big Show next.

-Commercial Break-

Kofi Kingston vs. Big Show

The match begins and Kingston quickly ducks a clothesline. Kingston hits some kicks to the legs before going into the ropes and running into a side kick from Big Show. Show clubs him down hard and chokes him on the second rope. Show kicks Kingston in the corner and chops his chest. Show hits a head-butt and steps on him. Kingston hits some punches and goes into the ropes right into a big clothesline, nearly taking Kingston out of his boots. Show picks him up by the head and head-butts him out of the ring.

Big Show reaches over the top rope and pulls Kingston up to the apron by his head. Big Show then clubs his chest, sending Kingston over the top rope and back into the ring. Kingston attempts to kick Show but it has no effect. Show then body slams him hard. Show goes to pick Kingston up but Kingston fights back with some kicks. Kingston goes into the ropes and right into a sidewalk slam for a near fall. Show sends Kingston into the corner hard and charges but Kingston slides through the ropes and kicks Show in the face. Kingston kicks and dropkicks Show right into the corner. Kingston then leaps up onto Show’s shoulders for some punches but Show simply takes him out and falls back, sending Kingston face first into the canvas. Show goes for Colossal Clutch but Kingston squirms away. Kingston kicks Show in the knee, ducks a clothesline, and dropkicks him in the knee, putting Show down on one knee. Kingston dropkicks him in the head and Show is on his back so Kingston hits the Boom-Boom Leg Drop. Kingston goes for Trouble in Paradise but Show swats him away. Big Show hits the Showstopper and pins Kingston for the win. This was a glorified squash match.

Winner by Pinfall: Big Show
Match Rating: *

Big Show leaves Kingston’s broken body in the ring as the show ends.

Mike’s Thoughts

Thank goodness this show was much better than last week’s, which was a disaster. The Main Eventers returned to the show and we even got a Night of Champions match made.

Rey Mysterio and Dolph Ziggler had a really great segment. Mysterio has gotten much better on the stick since his feud with Jericho. I think this is the best I?ve ever heard him. I really liked Ziggler on the mic as well. Ziggler sounded good and really committed to his lines. The whole segment came off well and we have a championship match made for Night of Champions. That should be a great match. Both men are on a roll.

Cryme Tyme and the Hart Dynasty had their rubber match tonight and it was a good one. This one was given some time, something their previous matches weren?t given, and, as a result, they had a hell of a match. I hope these teams are given some more time to show us their stuff because they were great tonight. Unfortunately they?re the only two teams on Smackdown.

Big Show defeated Kofi Kingston in what was a glorified squash. I wonder where they?re going with that one.

The Diva’s need work on ECW, namely the Bella Twins. Blown spot after blown spot. It was really pathetic to watch tonight. Oh well.

Final Rating: **
