Suspect named in the WWE and Sheraton Memphis case, NXT runs angle at live event

Shearton

We mentioned earlier this week that WWE stars Rusev, Lana and Paige had issues with the Sheraton hotel in Memphis last week, seeing money and belongings stolen from them without any action taken from the hotel when questioned.

The FOX affiliate out in Memphis reported late Thursday night that a member of the cleaning staff at the hotel, Portia Williams, has been named a suspect in the theft investigation. Memphis police noted that Williams found Rusev’s wallet in a trash can upon entering the hotel room, despite a “Do Not Disturb” sign hung outside the room.

When Rusev returned after being away for 40 minutes, $500 was missing from his wallet, along with a digital camera missing from the room. Rusev has stated since on Twitter that he plans to go forward with prosecution and ripped the head of the Sheraton’s security staff for deflecting the blame of the theft onto him for leaving those items in the room.
