Daniel Cormier says fight camp for UFC 230 has pushed back WWE commentary tryout

Daniel Cormier, the current UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion, revealed in a recent media session about his plans prior to agreeing to a fight at UFC 230.

Cormier, who at one point was scheduled to defend the UFC Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar, will now defend his title against Derrick Lewis on November 3.

During the media session, Cormier revealed he had plans to take part in a commentary tryout at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. However, due to the upcoming title fight in a few weeks, the plans were pushed back.

Excerpt courtesy of F4WOnline:

“…they wanted me to go in and do an audition as a member of the commentary team. That was my private little thing. But because of the fight, I had to push it back. So there might be some DC in WWE shit coming.”

Depending on the outcome of UFC 230, Cormier is expected to either fight Brock Lesnar (pending his current USADA testing) or Jon Jones in his final fight on his UFC contract.
