During Smackdown Live’s opening segment, Daniel Bryan was given a WWE Championsihp match against AJ Styles as the main event for tonight’s Smackdown.
As a result, Bryan will no longer be part of Team Smackdown Live’s Survivor Series 5-on-5 Elimination Match. The Miz, who will now act as Team Captain, picked Jeff Hardy as Bryan’s replacement. Miz also informed Smackdown Live GM Paige that since Rey Mysterio was Bryan’s pick, he should be out of Survivor Series.
Paige then informed Miz that he has to beat Mysterio in order to kick him off the team. Later in the show, Mysterio defeated Miz and will retain his spot on the team.
It’s official, Smackdown’s Team for Survivor Series is now: The Miz (Team Captain), Rey Mysterio, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy and Shane McMahon.
Team RAW, with RAW Acting GM Baron Corbin as Team Captain, will include Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley.
