Current WWE star Matt Hardy revealed on his Twitter Thursday that he has 11 days left on his current deal with WWE.
Matt Hardy responded to a fan on Twitter who assumed that Matt was issuing a “thinly-veiled passive-aggressive threat to his current employers” based on photos Hardy posted of himself for Throw Back Thursday from 2014 as the MCW and Extreme Rising Wrestling Champion, while noting that he’s “always felt comfortable outside of the @WWE.”
We reported back in August of 2018 Matt’s wife Reby Hardy revealed publicly that Matt’s current deal with WWE was set to expire in March 2019.

Not a threat at all, just a fact. I have 11 days left on my current deal. I love @WWE, but I’m 100% comfortable being outside the walls of pro wrestling’s "Alexandria" Safe-Zone. I’m a born SURVIVALIST.
My previous tweet will NEVAH face DELETION.

Last September we reported that following a WWE live event in Corpus Christi, Texas Hardy uploaded a video on his Twitter stating that was his final scheduled appearance as “Woken” Matt Hardy and hinting at possible retirement from in-ring action. A month prior, Hardy revealed he was battling issues with his lower back and pelvis fusing together from what was believed to be caused by leg drops off the top rope during his career.
This past January Hardy responded to a question from a fan on his Twitter stating he was wasn’t retiring anytime soon, and that he had been “Greenlit” for a physical return.
