Bret Hart attacker released from jail on bond, Set for court appearance Friday

According to a new report at PWInsider, Zachary Madsen, the man who tackled Bret Hart during the Hart Foundation’s 2019 Hall of Fame induction speech last Saturday, was released Wednesday from the Brooklyn Detention Complex on a $1,500 bond.

Madsen has been charged with two counts of assault in the third degree for tackling Hart, as well as trespassing and interfering with a sporting event. He is set for a court appearance on Friday.

In New York assault in the third degree in an A misdemeanor and could be punishable with up to one year in jail per count.  If found guilty, Madsen could face up to one in year jail for each count of assault.
