Video: WWE lists 5 superstars that benefitted from the Superstar Shake-up through the years

WWE’s YouTube is featuring a video where they list the top 5 WWE Superstars that benefitted the most from the Superstar Shake-ups of the past.

1) Jinder Mahal
Jinder Mahal is considered by WWE to have received the greatest benefit from the Superstar Shake-up. After actually having to fight for a job on RAW in August 2016 only to underwhelm on the roster, he was switched to Smackdown in April 2017. Mahal immediately took off, winning the WWE Championship from Randy Orton in May of that year and holding the title for 169 days (actually 170).

2) Daniel Bryan
The start of Daniel Bryan’s WWE career was marked by many underwhelming moments, including being fired at one point. After being drafted to Smackdown in 2011, he began to gain a lot of momentum, culminating with a Money in the Bank victory and a World Heavyweight Championship run by the end of the year.

3) The Miz
From the beginning of his WWE career, Miz was not taken quite so seriously. On Smackdown he aligned himself with John Morrison and become a Tag Team Champion, but his drafting to RAW in 2009 changed his career path. Miz would go on to win Money in the Bank and later beat Randy Orton for the WWE Championship.

4) John Cena
John Cena spent the first three years of his career on the Smackdown brand where he won his first WWE Championship. Upon his drafting to RAW in June 2005, his career took the next step to being the WWE legend he is today. Cena is a 16-time World Champion and considered the face of WWE.

5) Jeff Hardy
Jeff Hardy was brought over to the Smackdown brand in June 2008 during the WWE Draft (now called Superstar Shake-up). Hardy was promptly inserted into the main event scene, ultimately winning the WWE Championship in December 2008.
