Video Package: The history of The Shield

“Ladies and gentlemen… Elias.”

Elias strums a chord and greets the crowd. Elias plays a riff to applause from the crowd. Elias says he’s happy it’s the final night for The Shield. No more fist bumps, Shield bombs, or Hounds of Justice. At least Dean Ambrose had the good sense to realize there is no future for The Shield in WWE. Elias wishes Rollins had the same sense, but he’ll continue to drive RAW into the ground. As for Roman Reigns, he’s met his match because he’ll pay for what he did to him and Mr. McMahon. As for now, he’ll play a song. Elias tells Corey Graves to listen up.

Elias sings that it’s unfortunate The Shield’s final match is in the dumpiest town in the world. Elias sings that Moline is an armpit, so Finn Balor’s music interrupts. Balor says he wants to walk with Elias. Elias says he’ll let him sing with him. This song is so easy and simple that the people of Moline can pick up on it. Elias sings, “When I say, ‘I love Elias,’ you say, ‘Yes I do.'” Balor sings, “When I sing ‘Elias sucks,’ you say, ‘Yes he does.'” Elias immediately attacks him. The referee checks on Balor, and he agrees to start the match.

Finn Balor celebrates and goes to the back. Elias has his guitar set back up. He’s huffing and puffing as he says anyone can get lucky, but the crowd is truly lucky because he’s going to finish up this song.

The Riott Squad’s music hits, and they come out. They say they want to sing with him and be The Elias Squad. Elias starts to sing his song, and The Riott Squad sings, “Yes I do” terribly out of tune. Elias looks really disturbed. Bayley’s music interrupts.

Rollins says to the crowd they tried that one already. Rollin doesn’t know what to say that hasn’t already been said. A few weeks back, he won the Universal Title at WrestleMania by beating Brock Lesnar. For him, a lot of people in this area know his story, that was a culmination of the last 15 years of his life he put into this business. Rollins has family here tonight and couldn’t have done it without them or the support of the area. What he wants to say is that this title would not be possible without this brotherhood. While the title is a culmination personally, for all of them in the last 7 years, he loves them and will always love The Shield. This reign is for them. The Shield embraces Rollins.

A “Thank you, Shield” chant picks up. Ambrose takes the microphone and says he has something to say. For all the people that lives in Seth Rollins country, he wants them to look at Rollins as an example. They’re just like them. If you work hard, don’t take “no” for an answer, and bust your ass, you can do whatever you want in life. That Universal Championship reign by Rollins is proof of that. If you ever need strength to overcome things in life, look to Reigns who beat something huge. The Shield is about not taking “no” for an answer. If you want something, you stick your middle finger high in the air, kick the door down, and tell them The Shield said so. Ambrose throws the microphone down and embraces The Shield. Another “Thank you, Ambrose” chant picks up. The Shield then does their triple fist bump one final time while their music plays.
