At the 5/1 TV Tapings for NXT at Full Sail University, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix came out at the start of the show to join the commentary team. She is replacing Percy Watson.
Phoenix started doing commentary work with WWE in early 2018 when she worked alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves for the Mixed Match Challenge tournament. She has since commentated on the Mae Young Classic and was on commentary for the Elimination Chamber match to determine the first WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Phoenix was last seen at this year’s WrestleMania in a losing effort alongside Natalya in a match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
