According to a report from F4WOnline, Charlotte Flair will be taking on WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus at this year’s SummerSlam on August 11 in Toronto.
Pro Wrestling Sheet initially reported on Tuesday that Stratus was in talks, but it was confirmed today by multiple sources that the match is indeed confirmed to be taking place.
On last night’s Smackdown, Charlotte Flair did an interview where she was incredulous at being left off the SummerSlam card. Flair demanded a match and said she would have a better opponent than Ember Moon. She said she would prove that she is the greatest female superstar of all time.
Stratus last appeared with WWE at the Evolution event and then the next night on RAW in a 10-woman tag match. Stratus wrestled full time with WWE from 2000 to 2006, winning the Women’s Championship 7-times. Stratus retired in September 2006 in the same arena SummerSlam takes place in, which is also her hometown.
