WWE posted a graphic to Twitter Thursday as part of the continued pregnancy storyline involving Maria and Mike Kanellis, Ricochet and Rusev, along with asking the question of who is the father of Maria’s baby.
Long time tabloid talk show host Maury Povich soon responded to WWE’s Twitter post with “I’ve got two word for you…Paternity Test.”
During the September 16 episode of RAW, Maria said Ricochet was the father of her child, which led to a squash match between Ricochet and Kanellis. Ricochet was victorious.
In the same episode, Maria then said Rusev, who made a surprise return was the father of Maria’s baby, in which Rusev made quick work of Mike Kanellis.
According to a recent report from PWInsider, there was a pitch within WWE to have Povich take part in a segment on Monday Night RAW regarding the Kanellis baby storyline. The long time running Maury Povich tabloid talk show regularly features paternity tests and shenanigans.
It should also be noted that the Maury Povich show is filmed in Stamford, CT which is the city and state of WWE’s Headquarters.
