FOX, DISH Network and Sling TV resolve contract dispute after a 10-day blackout

FOX, DISH Network and Sling TV resolve contract dispute

We previously reported that millions of DISH Network and Sling TV subscribers and local FOX channels went dark in 16 markets across 23 states along with select cable networks.

The blackout prevented DISH and Sling customers from being able to watch the premiere episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

USA Today and several media outlets are reporting today that after a 10-day service stalemate, the dispute between FOX, DISH Network and Sling TV is officially over.

It was announced early Sunday that opposing parties reached a “multi-year carriage agreement”, thus restoring service for millions of DISH and Sling customers.

DISH Network and Sling TV subscribers will now be able to watch WWE Friday Night SmackDown and the new WWE Backstage studio show premiering on FS1 Tuesday, November 5 at 11:00pm ET.
