Angel Garza continued to make memories after winning the NXT Cruiserweight Championship on tonight’s WWE NXT show.
After defeating Lio Rush by submission to become the new champion, he brought his girlfriend, Zaide, into the ring during the commercial break. Garza then proposed to her in the center of the ring, which you can watch above. The moment was aired on television when the show came back from commercial.
Garza is the first Mexican-born wrestler to hold the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, which was created in 2016 and does not carry the lineage of the former WCW/WWE Cruiserweight Championship, which was retired in 2007.
