According to multiple reports, Sasha Banks was not cleared to compete in last night’s Women’s Royal Rumble match.
PWInsider is reporting that Banks is suffering from an ankle injury. This is the reason her match against Lacey Evans, which has been advertised twice for Friday Night SmackDown, had been pulled at the last minute.
Banks has not wrestled since the January 3 edition of SmackDown in a triple threat tag match with Bayley against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, and Dana Brooke and Lacey Evans. Banks did not appear at all on the Royal Rumble event.
We will continue to follow this story as more develops.
Dolph Ziggler criticizes WWE Production
Dolph Ziggler has issued a tweet that criticizes WWE’s production crew. Last night when Edge made his return, he entered the ring and immediately gave Ziggler a Spear, but the cameras cut away and completely missed it.
Ziggler asked on Twitter, “[W]ho cuts away from an official in-ring return, while two opponents are running towards each other?” Ziggler later stated that “people make mistakes” and mentioned that he has “made tons.”
