Samoa Joe suspended by WWE for his first violation of the company’s wellness policy

WWE suspends Samoa Joe

WWE has announced the suspension of Samoa Joe (Nuufolau Seanoa) for his first violation of the company’s wellness policy.

The suspension, which will last for 30 days, began on Monday, February 24. It is not known what substance caused him to fail the test. Samoa Joe will be eligible to return to action on March 25.

It had previously been reported that Samoa Joe is suffering from his second concussion in a short time after a mishap at a WWE commercial shoot. Joe had suffered a concussion on the Raw after the Royal Rumble in a tag team match along with Kevin Owens against Seth Rollins and Murphy. Joe returned on the February 10 Raw only to reportedly suffer another concussion shortly after.

STAMFORD, CONN., February 25, 2020 – WWE (NYSE: WWE) has suspended Nuufolau Seanoa (Samoa Joe) for 30 days effective Monday, February 24, for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.
