As first reported on WWE Backstage, Rob Gronkowski is close to finalizing a deal with WWE.
Gronkowski, a former NFL Tight End for the New England Patriots where he was a 3-time Super Bowl Champion, is reportedly deep in talks with WWE. The report states that Gronkowski could appear as early as the March 20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown from New Orleans.
It is not known in what capacity Gronkowski would immediately be used for should the deal become finalized. Gronkowski currently serves as a football analyst for FOX Sports.
In 2017, Gronkowski helped Mojo Rawley win the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33. Gronkowski is good friends with Rawley.
