WWE announced today through NXT General Manager William Regal that there will be a tournament to determine the interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
Current NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin is in the United Kingdom and unable to defend the championship due to the travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants in the tournament will be revealed in the coming days.
There is no word on what will happen with the interim champion when the travel restrictions eventually cease and Devlin can return to the United States to work.
