As announced on last night’s NXT, two championship matches have been announced for next week’s WWE NXT.
The NXT Championship will be on the line as Adam Cole will defend the title against the Velveteen Dream. Dream has been targeting Cole since returning to NXT in February. After pinning Cole in a tag team match last week, NXT General Manager William Regal booked the title match.
Last Friday, Patrick Clark (Velveteen Dream) was accused of sending inappropriate photos to an underaged girl, a claim that Clark denied.
Charlotte Flair will also make her first defense of the NXT Women’s Championship against Io Shirai. Shirai became No. 1 contender for the title after winning a 6-woman Ladder Match.
Also scheduled for the show is Johnny Gargano battling Dominik Dijakovic, while Karrion Kross will also make his official debut. Finn Bálor will also return to call out his attacker.
