WWE instituting an official face mask policy with noncompliance fines included

Multiple people test positive

WWE is instituting an official face mask policy for the television taping events effective immediately, according to a new report by PWInsider and confirmed by F4WOnline.

The policy states that any roster member or staff working at any television tapings must wear a protective face mask at all times unless they are performing on camera. Those not wearing masks will be fined $500 for the first offense and $1,000 for the second offense.

WWE recently experienced a number of talent and staff contract COVID-19, including Kayla Braxton (for a second time), Jamie Noble, Adam Pearce, and Renee Young. WWE did not release the number of those infected despite requests for that information.

Criticism of safety protocols and testing in the company led to WWE issuing a statement saying, “WWE will continue COVID-19 testing of its talent, production crew and employees in advance of TV productions for the foreseeable future.”
