WWE confirms SummerSlam will not take place in Boston, new location forthcoming

SummerSlam officially not in Boston

WWE issued a press release confirming that WWE’s SummerSlam and other related events will not be taking place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts this year.

Refunds will be offered at the point of purchase. WWE stated that information regarding a new location is forthcoming. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, all events (excluding cinematic matches) have taken place at the WWE Performance Center and Full Sail University.

In May, Boston’s mayor announced that no large events will take place in the city up to Labor Day due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
