WWE extends furloughs

According to a new report by Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, WWE has extended the furloughs of a number of their staff to August 28, 2020.

In April, Vince McMahon announced to the company that layoffs and furloughs were on the horizon as the company looked to cut costs in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who were furloughed were told the company anticipated the furlough to end in July with work starting up in the beginning of August.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues throughout the summer months in the United States and the uncertainty surrounding that in many areas of entertainment and sports, the decision was made to extend the furloughs longer.
