Sonya Deville receives temporary injunction

Daria Berenato, who portrays Sonya Deville for WWE, has been awarded a temporary injunction against the stalker that broke into her house on Sunday morning.

According to PWInsider, a court date has been set for later this month to turn the temporary injunction into a permanent one.

Phillip A. Thomas II, the man who broke into Berenato’s house, has been given a public defender and is invoking his fifth amendment right to remain silent.

Early Sunday morning, Thomas broke into Berenato’s home armed with a knife, zip ties, and mace, among other items, with the intent of kidnapping Berenato. Thomas was apparently a deranged fan from South Carolina who drove to Berenato’s home in Lutz, Florida after obtaining her address online.

Thomas was charged with aggravated stalking, armed burglary of a dwelling, attempted armed kidnapping, and criminal mischief. A pre-trial hearing on whether or not Thomas should be released on bail is set for Thursday.
