Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown from the WWE ThunderDome, Jeff Hardy defeated AJ Styles to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Earlier in the night, Styles kicked Hardy in the leg from behind, damaging his knee. Hardy had to wear a knee brace to enter the match, which played into the end.

AJ goes after Jeff’s right leg and kicks him down. AJ goes for the Styles Clash but Jeff with a kick to the face using the knee brace. Jeff lands the Twist of Fate on AJ Styles. Jeff climbs the top rope and lands the swanton bomb. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
