The NXT Championship changed hands for the 20th time on NXT TakeOver XXX tonight.
Karrion Kross defeated Keith Lee to win the NXT Championship after Doomsday Saito off the second rope. Lee held the championship for 45 recognized days by WWE with the match airing on July 8. The actual length of the reign was 52 days as the match where Lee won the title was taped on July 1.
The following is an excerpt from our recap of TakeOver XXX earlier in the night:
Lee looks like he’s out on his feet, but he manages to club Kross down. Lee hits a Spirit Bomb for a near fall. Lee pulls Kross near the corner and climbs the ropes. Kross cuts Lee off, and they start punching it out on the ropes. Kross then hits a Doomsday Saito off the second rope for the win!
