Renee Young says goodbye to WWE, confirms SummerSlam was her last night

Renee Young leaves WWE

On last night’s SummerSlam Kickoff Show, Renee Young acknowledged that she was departing WWE and thanked the company for her great run.

Earlier today, Young took to social media to thank the many fans around the world that supported her, thanked the company, went over her accomplishments, and spoke about what’s next for her. She noted that SummerSlam was her last night with the company.

F4WOnline is reporting that Renee Young, now going by her real name Renee Paquette on social media, has a long no compete clause in her contract.

Renee Young was signed with WWE in 2012. After serving many years as their lead backstage interviewer and host of their pre-show panels, she was made a full time Raw commentator in 2018. That run ended in September 2019 when she took over hosting duties for WWE Backstage. WWE Backstage was taken off the weekly programming for FS1 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but will be back for special shows with Young still hosting it.
