Things are on the upswing for the Bella family!
Not only have Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev welcomed their first-born son Matteo, Chigvintsev was also asked back for season 29 of Dancing with the Stars. This season Tyra Banks will host.
Chigvintsev was let go for Season 28, which left the dancer devastated. He revealed on the Bellas’ podcast that the news was a “massive shock.” Chigvinstev stated that he had only found out days before the official line-up was announced. Having been part of the show since 2014, Chigvinstev was very hurt. The show is particularly sentimental considering Chigvinstev met his fiancé on Dancing with the Stars back in 2017.
Right now, Chigvinstev’s priorities are fully focused on Nikki and Matteo, but the dancer assured fans that he will be in tip top shape for the premiere.
Season 29 of DWTS will premiere on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
