Following last night’s Raw, the WWE Championship match has been set for WWE Clash of Champions on Sunday, September 27.
Drew McIntyre will defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton in a rematch from SummerSlam.
Orton won the opportunity by defeating Keith Lee and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match. Orton defeated Kevin Owens to enter the Triple Threat Match. Keith Lee defeated Dolph Ziggler, and Seth Rollins defeated Dominik Mysterio.
McIntyre defeated Orton at SummerSlam with a backslide pin to retain the championship. The next night on Raw, Orton delivered three Punt Kicks to McIntyre. The attack caused a hairline jaw fracture, a storyline injury.
