In the new WWE 2K Battlegrounds video game, which was released on September 18, an image with the likeness of Tessa Blanchard was used in the game.
The image of Blanchard was from Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Kill event. The photographer, Basil Mahmud, called out the team behind the game, wondering how they could use the photograph without his permission.
2K did get in touch with Mahmud and informed him that a patch would soon be issued that would remove the image from the game.
Below you can view the image from the game and the actual image to see the similarities, as well as Mahmud’s tweet confirming he spoke with 2K.
