WWE NXT tapings reportedly impacted by several positive COVID-19 test results

NXT reportedly experienced COVID-19 outbreak

Multiple sources are reporting that there has been a COVID-19 outbreak recently on the WWE NXT roster.

First reported by Fightful, several positive COVID-19 tests came in during the week of September 9, which led to significant changes to the NXT tapings taking place. Some classes at the WWE Performance Center were canceled, but others were kept.

No names have been released. It is believed that it is limited to recruits at the moment, as some in the company did not know it had happened.

Jon Alba of Spectrum News also reports that mask wearing in the company has been relaxed, particularly in places where people are together. Alba also states that the virus may have been spread by a coach.

A request to WWE for further information was not immediately returned.

We will continue to follow this story as more becomes available.
