Matches taped tonight in Detroit for Friday Night Smackdown:
– Smackdown opens with Christian’s Peep Show. Albert Del Rio comes out to interrupt. Christian challenges Del Rio to a match, but he declines. Christian slapped Del Rio, which caused him to retreat. Del Rio says “No” as he leaves.
– Non-title match: “Dashing” Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre defeated tag team champions The Hart Dynasty.
– Kofi Kingston cut a promo on Dolph Ziggler. He said Ziggler hides behind Vickie Guerrero. Kingston is confident he will win the at Night of Champions and rid the WWE Universe of Vickie and Ziggler.
– Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger.
– More Undertaker-Kane hype.
– Backstage, we have Teddy Long, Hornwoggle, and a nun. The nun attempt to teach Hornswoggle his ABC’s as he plays a prank on Long, which gets him into trouble.
– LayCool (with Kaval) defeated Kelly Kelly & Rosa Mendes (with Naomi) when Rosa is pinned.
* Christian vs. CM Punk with Alberto Del Rio at ringside with the announcers. Del Rio interrupts the contest but Punks and hits his GTS. Punk leaves the ring and De Rio follows. Big Show shows up, and when Punk gets back into the ring, Show knocks him out.
– Kane comes out and cuts a promo on Undertaker. He says their rivalry will end on Sunday at Night of Champions. Kane says he wants no holds barred. Taker’s music hits and he comes out. The lights go out and when they come back up Kane is behind Undertaker at the top of the ramp. Kane and Undertaker exchange blows but move to the ring. Kane hits a chokeslam and a piledriver on his “brother.” The pyros go off in the ring posts and Kane leaves the ringside area.
