There was described as something of an almost “immediate reaction” within WWE to word that Raw this past Monday drew only a 2.8 cable rating. There is also fear for next week’s show not doing well either as it is pre-taped and going head-to-head with the Bears/Packers Monday Night Football game on ESPN. The company is getting very aggressive in cutting promos for the Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho main event next week. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is also reporting that there was already some second guessing in regards to putting the WWE Championship on Randy Orton when this number came in, although many felt it was wrong to not give him the benefit of the doubt with only one week of ratings to show for it.
