WWE SmackDown Ratings: Viewership slightly up for 2020 Draft, down from last year’s special

The SmackDown Ratings are in for October 9, 2020.

This week’s edition, which took place in the WWE ThunderDome at the Amway Center, drew an average of 2.087 million viewers on Friday night according to a Fast Nationals report by Showbuzzdaily.com.

This is up slightly from last week’s show that averaged 2.043 million viewers.

It should be noted that this is down 28% from last year’s WWE Draft special, which drew 2.899 million viewers and drew a 0.95 rating among adults 18-49. Last night’s show was going against a strong NBA Finals game, as well as MLB Elimination Day.

The final ratings for WWE Friday Night SmackDown are scheduled to be released this coming Monday.  We will provide an update if there is a significant change to Friday’s preliminary ratings.

Hourly Breakdowns and Demographics for WWE SmackDown

Hour 1: 2.156 (up from 2.105 million viewers last week)

Hour 2: 2.017 (up from 1.980 million viewers last week)

This week’s SmackDown, featuring Night One of the 2020 WWE Draft, averaged a 0.60 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from the 0.55 rating they had last week.
