WWE SmackDown Ratings: Viewers drop for final show before Royal Rumble

SmackDown viewership down for Royal Rumble go-home show

The SmackDown Ratings are in for January 29, 2021.

This week’s show, which aired live from the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL, once again saw overnight viewership stay above 2 million.

Last night’s show drew an average of 2.228 according to a Fast Nationals report by showbuzzdaily.com. This is down from 2.282 million viewers from last week.  

Despite the lower rating this week, SmackDown was No. 1 for the night on broadcast network television.

The final ratings for WWE Friday Night SmackDown are scheduled to be released this coming Monday.

Hourly Breakdowns and Demographics for WWE SmackDown

Hour 1: 2.294 (up from 2.284 last week)
Hour 2: 2.161 (up from 2.280 last week)

This week’s SmackDown, which was the go-home show for the Royal Rumble, averaged a 0.60 rating among adults 18-49. This is the same rating they had last week.

The is the fifth straight consecutive week that SmackDown has seen viewers above 2 million.
