F9, starring WWE Superstar John Cena, pushed back to June 2021 release

According to Deadline, Universal has delayed F9 once again.

The ninth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise starring WWE Superstar John Cena has been pushed back to June 25 from its original May 28 release date.

The move will now delay Minions: The Rise of Gru one year to release July 1, 2022 rather than its originally scheduled release date of July 2, 2021, as COVID-19 precautions from theaters continue to be in place.

This is the second time F9 has been delayed, which was originally scheduled for a release in May 2020.

Cena’s character is antagonist Jakob Toretto, who is also the brother of leading man Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto.
