According to a report from Deadline, WWE made a round of layoffs on Tuesday that impact its film, television and social media devisions in Connecticut and Los Angeles.
It is being said the the affected operations will be consoldiated into a single division, with smaller staff running those operations.
Per a report from PWInsider the word making the rounds is that WWE President and Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan, in what is said to be another show of his growing power, will oversee the consolidated offices in order to keep them in closer alignment with the WWE Headquarters in the United States. here in the States.
F4WOnline is reporting those within the company categorized the reason as a re-examining of the business due to COVID-19, and discovering a lot of redundancy. As result, some of the divisions will be merging under Executive Vice President of Television Production Kevin Dunn.
PWInsider and F4WOnline, along with other sources reported that Jaylar Donlan, Executive Vice President of Advanced Media and Brian Pellegatto, Senior Vice President of Production, Jay Rosenstock, Executive Vice President of International Television, and Makham Nolan, Vice President of Media Operations, were all let go. In addition, it was said the Advanced Media departments in both the United States and United Kingdom were also heavily cut, which included producers, associate producers and those in both digital and WWE Network.
WWE currently occupies two buildings in Stamford, CT. WWE will be moving into a single new building next year. The construction for the new facility had been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
