Candy Cartwright drops lawsuit against WWE Superstar Matt Riddle

Independent Wrestler Candy Cartwright (real name Samantha Tavel) who accused current WWE Raw Superstar Matt Riddle of choking her and forcing her to perform oral sex in 2018 withdrew her lawsuit yesterday, according to a report from TMZ Sports.

According to the report, it is unclear if the two sides reached a monetary settlement. The only statement Tavel’s attorney, John Chwarzynski, made was that “The parties have put this in their past and are focused on the future.”

As of this report, Riddle’s attorneys have not commented.

PWInsider obtained a copy of the dismissal, which reads as follows:

Plaintiff Samantha Tavel hereby voluntarily dismisses this matter with prejudice under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(a)(1)(A)(i), with each side to bear their own attorney’s fees and costs. All future dates, if any, should be stricken.

Respectfully submitted,

Samantha Tavel
