Ric Flair released from WWE

The biggest news coming out on Monday was that WWE Hall of Famer “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair asked for his release, and it was granted by WWE.  Flair had re-signed withe WWE last year.

Furthermore, Fightful Select noted that Flair rwas said to have been frustrated with certain booking decisions on WWE television directly centered around his relationship storyline with Lacey Evans.  

It was also noted that Flair contacted McMahon directly to voice his issues and ask for his release.

Adam Cole’s WWE NXT contract reportedly set to expire later this summer

According to PWInsider, Adam Cole’s current deal with WWE is set to expire this summer.

It is being said that the realization had taken a number of WWE Executives by surprise as the belief was Cole was locked in through January 2022.  Furthermore, it was stated that multiple sources within WWE confirmed the story, admitting frustration that it had become public.

Cole is now in the position of being able to attempt to negotiate the best deal possible for himself going forward, not only with WWE, but with AEW, IMPACT, and even ROH. with WWE, AEW, etc.

PWInsider noted that they did confirm that the timing of the company learning of the Cole’s contract later this summer lines up with the departure of Canyon Ceman.

Shane McMahon announced as the new Executive Chairman of Ideanomics

Shane McMahon was announced on Monday as the new Executive Chairman of Ideanomics.

JoJo Offerman said to have been quietly released from WWE several months ago

PWInsider is reporting that JoJo Offerman was quietly released 6-8 months ago.

Offerman first joined WWE in 2013 and was a member of the original Total Divas cast.  After an unsucessful run in the ring, she became the ring announcer for Raw.  

In late 2018, JoJo went missing from Raw, and was replaced by Mike Rome. However, she was planning to return, which was announced by her fanpage.  However, she never returned after it was announced when she and Wyatt were expecting their first child together.
